I agree, cricket in India is something special. If you compare it, for example, with football, then in India, cricket really plays a leading role. However, it is worth remembering that in many countries the situation with football can be completely different. In Europe, for example, football players earn much more than in India. But in the context of India itself, cricket is clearly beyond competition in terms of income.
